Introducing our VAM Lusófona Porto Global Game Jam 2024 entry, with the theme "Make Me Laugh"!

Johnny Joke is the master of dry and corny jokes. Born in the old town, he dreamed of making people laugh and found acid humour to be a haven from the chaos of the city. As a comedian, he perfected his gift of getting laughs out of the worst possible jokes, to the point that it almost killed the audience with laughter.

Frightened for fear of losing customers, the owners of the stand-up clubs fired J.J., with the support of the conservative sectors of society, relieved by the removal of such a vile individual. An embittered Johnny returned to the old town, where he became involved in tumultuous events. His deadly gift for comedy made him valuable to underworld bosses.

Now, Johnny, a central figure in the world of crime, has begun his path of revenge against all those who despised him. To make them laugh for the last time!

MISSION

Your mission is to help Johnny Joke on his journey to face gangs of criminals, citizens with no sense of humour, and even the deceased and now undead victims of J.J.'s sharp jokes. Through the streets of the old city, you will be armed with a microphone, a speaker, and a repertoire of deadly jokes.

Choose the appropriate jokes for each type of enemy and watch them die laughing! However, if you get the joke wrong, prepare to be the target of tomatoes and merciless contempt from your opponents!

CONTROLS

Use WASD keys to move J.J.
Keys 1, 2 or 3 to pick the joke you're going to tell.
Use the mouse left button to throw the joke to the "audience" within the radio of the mouse cursor.
